The First Blog...

This is the first blog of my very first blog. Please be kind and considerate. I will use this blog as a regular update on my USA and UK cycling challenges. I'll try to keep my musings amusing and interesting but I guess we will see what happens. Please feel free to contact me via email (swinhoea@hotmail.com) or via the comments option at the bottom of each blog. There that seems very easy and straightforward so I guess I'll stop for now and get back in touch once I have something to report or I get bored.

Final Blog Post

Hello Everybody! Sorry this is not the final blog post but I will be doing one later this week. It should be better than usual as I will have the "help" of Ruth who is always such a positive influence on me. She has not arrived yet as she got the dates wrong (BIG SURPRISE - NOT!) and is currently staying in a hotel in Gatwick Airport. Anyway for now: O let us see another day! Bless us all this night, I pray, And to the sun we all will bow And say, good-bye – but just for now! Love and Kisses from Alan, Franklin, Arnold and Arnolda xxx PS The final blog will be a must read as there will be (in list format): many surprises a happy ending of sorts insults to those who have not yet been insulted many "oh dears" Ruth eventually turning the flipping up err.... some other stuff

4th July 2018 - The final, final and thrice final blogpost until next year

Hello Everybody! Route: Vallejo to San Francisco For the non-mathematicians out there: Distance: About 4 miles (Total 3,478) Average speed: slightly more than walking pace Calories: I had a small coffee and muffin Cycling time: A little while Average cadence: 74 rpm Climb: 5’10.5”ft, Descent: -5’10.5”ft Heart (yes I have one): Max 180 when Ruth arrived Aver 280 when Ruth is "suggesting" something to me Aver Temp: 37C, Max temp 37C Temperament: Still wondering what the heck happened I had a very nice breakfast with Kay and left (for the first time) at around 9.00am. We travelled about 300 metres and then I decided to search for my passport, which I could not find. I went back to Kay’s house and we both searched my room. We could not find the passport so I decided that I had packed it somewhere and even if it turned up I could always go back to Kay’s place given it was only a short ferry ride aw
